Frequently Asked Questions
This is a list of questions that we are frequently asked. The answers given here will, we hope, answer most of your questions. If you have any unanswered questions, please call or email us with your questions - and any suggestions!
Q. Where is the Lake District?
The Lake District is in the north-west of England and is the largest and best known of the National Parks. It has wild and desolate hills, magnificent ravines and cascading waterfalls. The area in which the Spirit Quest is based is picturesque, great walking country - and perfectly safe as long as we are sensible!
Q. How do I get there?
Very easily! The motorway network can carry you from the south-east, London (with Heathrow and Gatwick airports), the Midlands, and the south-west relatively quickly and easily. The M6 motorway runs within 20 miles of Ambleside / Grasmere, which are well sign-posted from there. The rail network enables you to travel almost all of the way, to near Kendal, or even to Windermere on the branch line. You can get a taxi from there.
Q. What do I need to bring?
Apart from your normal indoor clothing, you will require suitable clothing for walking in the hills. This will include a sturdy pair of water-proof boots, several pairs of socks, changes of clothing in case we get wet (the Lake District can be very wet!), and a haversack to hold an extra layer of clothing, plus lunch and a drink, when walking.
You will also need to bring a notepad and pens or pencils - there will be some indoor work as well as outdoor activity!

Q. Where is it being held?
Spirit Quest is meeting in Grasmere, based at a beautiful guest house, where the indoor sessions will take place. It is convenient for the three walks that are included.
Q. How much does Spirit Quest cost?
£77 - with a non-returnable deposit of £30 payable on booking, and the remaining £47 payable 4 weeks before the Spirit Quest. This cost covers the actual Quest. Travelling costs to and from the Lake District, and the cost of accommodation and meals while you are there, are not included. Tea, coffee, soft drinks, and biscuits will be available during the indoor sessions free of charge.
Q. Where can I stay?
There is a range of accommodation in the Grasmere/Ambleside area to suit all tastes - and pockets!

Q. Do I need to be experienced in spiritual matters in order to take part?
No. You will derive wonderful benefit and results if you are open-minded and have an interest in spiritual concerns. However, as long as you enjoy quiet time in nature and walking in the hills, you will have a lovely time even if you don't want to take part in the exercises in spiritual awareness and connection.
Q. What happens if the weather is very wet? Will it be a waste of time?
If the rain insists on falling rather more than we would like, we will still have a very active and productive weekend! We might change the walking routes to save getting too wet - and we might spend more time indoors than we plan to do! But we will still cover the entire programme of the Spirit Quest - and there will be more time to spend on manifesting, how to create whatever you truly desire, than would be the case with dry weather. Whatever the weather, it will be a full weekend!
We will not do anything to endanger the safety or health of any participant - while still covering all of the contents of the Spirit Quest.
Q. Is it safe in the fells?
While we are out in the hills, we will never be very far from 'civilisation'! Although we shall be in quiet and secluded areas, we shall not be very far from a road. Your safety is my first concern.
If you have any further questions, please call or email me and I will do my best to help.
